# Bütel

> A Swiss ordering system, structured around WhatsApp. The customer sends a message; the restaurant receives an order. No app between them. No marketplace above them. Six percent of the bill instead of thirty. Founded and run by **Nepomuk Crhonek** and **Marcel Valentin Jordan** as Bütel KlG, Bolleystrasse 9, 8006 Zürich, CHE‑317.563.371.

The thesis is one sentence. A Swiss restaurant should not have to surrender a third of its margin and the entirety of its customer relationship in order to operate online. The corrective is one sentence too. Use the chat application that every Swiss phone already runs, the payment rails Switzerland already trusts, and a fee structure designed to leave the kitchen viable.

Bütel is conversational by intent, not gimmick. There is no app for the diner to install, no account to register, no interface to learn. A WhatsApp message — to a number printed on a sticker, a poster, a table card — produces a personalised ordering link, a payment through Payrexx (TWINT, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay), a four-digit pickup code, and a kitchen handoff that closes without telephone calls or paper tickets. The mechanism is mundane; the consequences for restaurant unit economics are not.
